A fact sheet specifically for parents and schools on student personal and learning supports.

Process Map for Referral to LSS

School students can be referred for Learner Support Services through the enrolling NTO, through their school VET coordinator or can self-refer to the LSS provider contracted by the NTO for this service. See the process map for more information.

Learner Support Services Fact Sheet for Students

VET for School Students Guidelines for Training Providers

From 1 July 2021 training providers will need to use the new VET for School Students Guidelines for students seeking to commence a subsidised course from Semester 1, 2022.

FLO Application for Exemption

FLO students must apply for an exemption to eligibility requirements through their school of enrolment. Their FLO Case Manager and their school’s FLO Coordinator completes Part A of the Form. The FLO Case Manager undertakes research into course options and providers and completes Part B and submits to Department for Innovation and Skills for approval.

Skills and Employment Portal - Login procedure

The Skills & Employment Portal is an Information Management Portal that provides access to a number of functions – Participant Profile, Training Account, Claims and Projects (where applicable). This User Guide provides you with instructions on how to successfully login to the Portal, change your password and amend your personal details.

To gain access to the Portal, each user requires their own login. See the guide for more details.

Participant Agreement Form for accredited training

A Participant Agreement Form must be completed at the time of first enrolment for each new participant with your organisation.

The following Participant Agreement Form is to be used for all subsidised accredited training delivered outside of a Skilling South Australia Project. Skilling South Australia Projects should use the Participant Agreement Form located in the toolkit.

Participant Agreement Forms are not required for subsequent enrolments with the same organisation.

You are not required to forward a copy to the Department but must retain the original document for your records.

Application for Exemption as a person under the Guardianship of the Minister

South Australians aged 16 years or older who are or have been under a Guardianship order of a Government Minister in Australia, are eligible to access fee-free courses on the Subsidised Training List with contracted Training Providers. The usual subsidised training eligibility rules apply.

To apply for a fee exemption, complete the form.

Courses with this condition have a set number of places that can be created per provider, which can be drawn down in the same way as General courses.
