The Building Capability Ignite Series is held twice yearly to spark your thinking and provide opportunities for you to connect with colleagues and peers and include:
- Professional development webinars for ACE and VET practitioners on teaching and learning topics
- Professional development webinars for ACE and RTO managers, team leaders and other staff on business topics
- Spotlight webinars on Departmental initiatives, delivered by Departmental staff with an opportunity for audience questions
- Networking opportunities, which are in-person as appropriate.

The SA VET Educator Series celebrates the dual professionalism of VET and ACE educators, to acknowledge your achievements, commitment and passion to your profession and equip you with practical strategies, tools and techniques to add value to your practice.
This series is delivered by DIS, in partnership with the Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA) and TAFE SA.

Deepen your knowledge and skills in a masterclass focused on blended learning, assessment or foundation skills.
Masterclasses are delivered using an action-learning approach over 4-8 weeks, mapped to units in the Training and Assessment (TAE) training package.
There is an option for practitioners to achieve a Statement of Attainment for mapped units on a co-contribution basis, as a pathway to a higher-level TAE qualification.

Become an accredited Mental Health First Aider and learn how to provide initial assistance to a person developing a mental health problem or who is in a mental health crisis.
The Department is supporting eligible trainers, assessors and training organisation staff, delivering training in South Australia, to undertake:
- Mental Health First Aid
- Youth Mental Health First Aid
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid (in person only)
- Youth Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid (in person only).
Places supported by the Department are available to individuals based in South Australia who are delivering training, or supporting the delivery of training to, South Australian students. Preference will be given to individuals working for an organisation that has a Funded Activities Agreement (FAA) with the Department.
Courses will be delivered by accredited Mental Health First Aid trainers. See Mental Health First Aid Australia for information about the content of these courses.
Subsidised training for ACE and RTO staff is now more accessible than ever.
